That sounds like a great movie. I’ll see if anywhere near me is playing A Better Life. I’ve been really wanting to see The Descendants, so hopefully I get a chance to see that as well. You have any bets on Best Picture?

ATTENTION: I love coffee, I don't like olives. Below is a ridiculous (and quite frankly disturbing) amount of Robert Downey Jr. stuff with randomness and life's minutiae in between. Oh, I was just about to say the dark house, cause he’s the only one I don’t know. Was the movie good? I’m thinking about going to see that and The Descendants. I don’t know why, but I have problems with Clooney, but I bet he is good.
I love A Better Life. It’s about an illegal immigrant who’s trying to make a better life for his teenage son in the ghettoes of Los Angeles. I found it really sad and it’s also a pretty common story so Demian Bichir’s performance resonated more to me than any other.
The Descendants is great and ultimately I won’t be angry if George Clooney ends up winning it. It’s just that … I feel like any actor of the same age range with some modicum of acting talent could’ve done just as well in his part. It’s not really George — it just isn’t a particularly special or memorable role. Like, you’ll forget about it in a couple of years.
